About

Wide and deep theoretical and technological knowledge is becoming increasingly necessary in engineering fields for the global development of advanced technologies. Our Graduate School of Engineeringprovides opportunities to get higher education and to do advanced research for engineering, aiming to educate persons who can contribute to increasing the welfare of humankind in local and international societies.

The Graduate School of Engineering consists of five graduate departments: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Constructional Engineering, Applied Chemistry, and Computer Science. The main purpose of our Master’s programs is to educate students about higher engineering technologies to be able to work as project leaders for research and development of engineering. The main purpose of our Doctoral programs is to educate students through state-of-the-art research to become engineers, researchers, or academic people who can invent new technologies or theories in engineering fields.

The Graduate School of Engineering has the Joint Degree Program to educate engineers having the management sense. If a Joint Degree Program student gets 20 units of the courses predetermined by the Graduate School of Business Administration during the Master’s program and then gets 10 units of the courses in the Graduate School of Business Administration for one additional year, the student can acquire both master’s degrees of ME and MBA in total three years. The main courses in the Graduate School of Business Administration are taught at Nagoya campus at night, and so students can take the courses while working after graduating the Graduate School of Engineering.
