College of International Studies

The mission of this College is the cultivation of graduates who can paint a 21st Century worldview.

About the College of International Studies

How to understand not simply complicated but often tumultuous world situations where it is no surprise that anything may happen, anywhere, and at any time? Neglecting to see the future or calmly waiting for developments to unfold cannot bring about solutions. With the advent of the new century, now is the time to come to terms with the problems of the 'real world', and to find a scientific way to improve world systems.

The Department of International Relations is indeed a stage upon which this examination can take place. Through the study of politics, economics, society, and culture of eight world regions, the Department strives to nurture specialists who view countries across the globe without prejudice. In addition to this, in order to cultivate graduates proficient in living languages, emphasis is placed on foreign language education. The 21st century worldview taught by the College of International Studies is the root of its distinction.
