[December 2, 2017]
On Saturday, December 2nd, the team from Chubu University’s Department of Lifelong Sports and Health Sciences took third place overall at the Tenth Western Japan Student Emergency Responder Championship, held at Kyoto Tachibana University.
The Student Emergency Responder Championship is held to promote the awareness and technical skills necessary for students training in the field of emergency response. Students compete in a wide variety of simulated emergency situations.
The team from Chubu University took first place in the anaphylactic shock response, third place in the disaster/triage response, and second place in the cerebral stroke/PSLS response. They received third place overall, topping last year’s team, who placed seventh (out of eight teams). The team credits their daily training routine for the accomplishment.
