Chubu University Signs Memorandum with Leading Russian Power Company Rosseti

Chubu University and leading Russian power company Rosseti signed a memorandum forging cooperation on the development of practical applications of superconductivity technologies. Atsuo Iiyoshi (Chairman, Board of Trustees and Chancellor, Chubu University) signed the memorandum at the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, Russia on September 6th. In the future, experimental facilities at Chubu University will be used in order to pursue technology development. The partners will discuss specific development plans at a meeting to be held in Moscow later this year.
On the same day, Chairman Iiyoshi also participated in a panel discussion at the Forum, alongside representatives from Russia, China, Korea and Mongolia. The topic of the discussion was the future of Eastern Asia’s energy supply network.
